Good communication. Very helpful. The product we ordered is as we anticipated. A canvas bag was included, along with Velcro tape for installation. Overall, it was an excellent experience. We are very happy with the result and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a kit actually include? +
The model number defines the layout: the frame sections, the LED modules and drivers that light them, the connectors, and the SEG fabric faces cut for those panels. What is not included is anything the venue supplies, so power, rigging and flooring sit outside the kit. Send us the model number you are considering and we will confirm the exact bill of materials, cases included or not, before you commit to it.
How is this different from the Illuminated & Backlit Displays collection? +
This one sells decisions, that one sells single pieces. Every item here is a numbered configuration with the panel sizes and arrangement already set, which removes the design work and the risk of ordering a frame that does not match its neighbour. Illuminated & Backlit Displays lists lit items one at a time: LED tension fabric walls, vogue and photo booth enclosures, 360 booths and backlit hanging banners. Same lit fabric, different level of assembly.
How much power does a kit draw, and what do I order from the organiser? +
A single lit wall runs on one 10A outlet. A multi-panel kit with several lit faces and a counter is safer on two, and you should say so on the stand plan when you order services through the exhibitor manual. Book it before the deadline, because on-site orders are dearer and not always possible. Leads, plug packs and boards all need a current AS/NZS 3760 tag or the venue disconnects them.
Which model suits a 3m x 3m stand, and which a 6m x 3m? +
There is a kit for both, and the model numbers are layout codes rather than a size sequence, so read them against your floor plan instead of assuming a bigger number means a bigger stand. A 3m shell scheme bay takes a single back wall configuration. A 6m x 3m needs a layout with side runs, or the panels look crowded. Send us the stand dimensions and open sides and we will name the models worth comparing.
Can I reconfigure a kit for a different stand size later? +
Partly. The panels are standard SEG frames, so you can leave a section out and run a narrower wall, or buy an extra panel in the same profile and extend. What you cannot do is rearrange a kit into a different model and expect the fabric faces to fit, because each face is cut to its own panel. Plan for the largest stand you will book, then run a subset at the smaller ones.
How long does a multi-panel kit take to build? +
Two people and two to three hours for a full lit stand, most of it in the frames rather than the graphics. Build every frame first, run and dress the cabling, power up and check for dead modules before any fabric goes on, because a dead LED strip behind a fitted face means stripping the panel again. Then insert the faces. Allow half a day at your first show with a new kit.
Do the LEDs need airflow, and what changes if I run a double-sided face? +
They do. A lit frame vents through the back and around the profile, so pushing a kit hard against a shell scheme panel or a curtain traps heat against the drivers. Leave 50mm behind it. A double-sided face closes the cavity completely, which is why double-sided panels use the deeper profile and why you should never fit a second face to a frame built for one. Heat is what kills LED output.
How do I get artwork right and place the order? +
Send the model number and we will send back the panel templates, so every face is designed to its own frame instead of one big file sliced up afterwards. Artwork assistance and a 2D mockup of the finished stand are both free, and we check density for backlighting before print. Order by email at support@backdropsource.com.au or by phone on +61 7 3053 8668. Shipping is free Australia-wide and the frames and LEDs carry a 1-year warranty.
