Good communication. Very helpful. The product we ordered is as we anticipated. A canvas bag was included, along with Velcro tape for installation. Overall, it was an excellent experience. We are very happy with the result and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many panels do I need to divide a given width? +
Work on roughly 900mm to 1m of cover per panel, so a four panel screen closes about 3.5m to 4m and the seven panel closes 6m or so. Confirm the exact panel width on the listing before you order to a measured opening. Leave 200mm at each end rather than trying to seal wall to wall, because carpet, skirting and door architraves are never as square as the plan says.
Will it stand up on its own, and can someone knock it over? +
It stands on feet with no fixing to the floor or ceiling, and a straight run of four or more panels needs the end feet angled or the whole screen set with a slight zigzag. A dead-straight 6m screen is the one that goes over. The Portable Magnetic Curved and Inclined Fabric Stands are stable by geometry, which is the reason to choose them over a flat run of the same width.
Do the panels swap out, and how quickly? +
Ten to fifteen seconds a panel. Magnets in the panel edge grip a steel strip in the frame, so you pull one face off and press another on without touching the frame. A four panel screen changes over in a minute. That is the reason to buy magnetic rather than a zipped cover for a room you re-brand often, such as a showroom that runs a different supplier feature each month.
What are the downsides I should know before I buy? +
Three. The magnets and their steel receiving strip make the crate heavier than a comparable zip-on screen, so plan on two people for anything over three panels. The joins between panels show as a fine vertical line, which suits blocked artwork and ruins a single stretched photograph. And the magnets are rare-earth, strong enough to wipe a swipe card, so keep panels away from laptops and anyone with a pacemaker.
Does it block sound as well as sight? +
No. A single layer of printed polyester over an open frame stops sightlines and takes a little edge off room reflection, but it will not contain a phone conversation. Treat it as a visual divider for a showroom, a registration queue or a breakout area. If you need acoustic separation for interviews or a medical consult, you need a solid partition, not a fabric screen of any brand.
Which of the straight, curved, inclined, slope and rampant stands should I pick? +
Straight for a flat backdrop against a wall, curved where the screen stands alone in open floor, and the inclined, slope or rampant shapes where you want a stepped top line that reads as a feature rather than a barrier. The shaped versions all cover less width per unit than a straight run of the same footprint. If the job is purely to hide a store area, buy straight.
How is this different from Magnetic Fabric Displays & Booth Kits and Magnetic Fabric Booth Kits? +
Same magnetic platform, different job. This collection is for dividing space: freestanding screens on feet that are meant to be moved and re-set. Magnetic Fabric Booth Kits holds complete exhibition stands from 2m x 2m to 6m x 6m, built to fill an allocated floor space. Magnetic Fabric Displays & Booth Kits is the parent range that contains both. If you are dressing a shell scheme bay, start in one of those two.
How do I place an order? +
Measure the opening and tell us whether the screen will be seen from one side or both, then we will confirm the panel count. There is no charge for artwork assistance or for the 2D mockup, so you can see the panel divisions before printing. Contact support@backdropsource.com.au or +61 7 3053 8668. Shipping across Australia is free, and the frame and hardware carry a 1-year warranty.
