How do the magnetic panels attach, and how fast is a change? +

Magnets set into the panel edge grip a steel strip in the frame profile, so a panel lifts off and the next presses on in ten to fifteen seconds. A 3m wall of three panels swaps in under a minute with one person, which is why the system suits a multi-day show where the trade audience and the public audience need different messages. No zip to run, no silicone bead to feed into a channel, no hook-and-loop to line up.

How long does the frame take to build, and how heavy is the kit? +

Two people and about twenty-five minutes for a 3m straight wall, including panels. The frame is push-fit aluminium with no tools. Weight is the honest cost of the system: the magnets and the steel receiving strip add roughly a third to the crate weight of an equivalent zip-on wall, so a 3m kit is a two-person lift rather than a one-person carry through a loading dock.

Are the magnets strong enough to be a problem around laptops and cards? +

Treat them as strong. These are rare-earth magnets, not fridge magnets, and they will wipe a hotel key card or a magnetic-stripe loyalty card held against them. Keep spare panels at least 100mm clear of laptops, hard drives and phone wallets in the crate, and pack them face to face so they close on each other rather than on stock. Anyone with a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator should not handle the panels.

Will the joins between panels show in my artwork? +

Yes, as a fine vertical line where two panel edges butt together. Design with it rather than against it: a layout built in vertical blocks, one message per panel, reads as deliberate. A single wide photograph stretched across three panels shows the break across a face or a horizon and looks like a fault. If you want an unbroken image at 3m or wider, a zip-on tension fabric wall is the better buy.

Which should I buy from this range for a 3m x 3m shell scheme stand? +

The Portable Magnetic Straight Fabric Stand or a 3m x 3m Magnetic Fabric Booth Display, depending on whether you need one wall or three. A straight stand at 2.3m to 3m wide covers the back of an Octanorm bay and leaves the side walls as the organiser supplied them. The booth kit dresses all three internal faces, which looks far better in photographs but takes the full stand depth for storage.

What happens if one panel gets damaged or a graphic goes out of date? +

You replace that panel and keep the frame. A coffee mark or a scuffed corner on a zip-on cover means reprinting the whole wall, because the cover is one piece. Here the wall is divided into discrete panels, so a 3m wall of three panels costs a third to fix. The same logic covers a changed phone number or a product that has been discontinued since the last show.
