Artificial Flower Wall Backdrops (Backdrop Only)

An artificial floral backdrop is a soft fabric panel with plastic flowers hand-fixed to the face, so it rolls up rather than folding flat and needs a stand behind it. Designs run in 1.2m and 2.4m widths at 2.4m high.

Good communication. Very helpful. The product we ordered is as we anticipated. A canvas bag was included, along with Velcro tape for installation. Overall, it was an excellent experience. We are very happy with the result and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Backdrop Only mean no stand is included? +
Yes. The listing is the floral panel on its own, and every product page also offers a frame option if you need one, so read the choice before you check out. If you already own a 2.4m adjustable backdrop stand or a pipe-and-drape upright, the panel hangs off that. Buy the frame with your first panel and reuse it after that, because the stand is the part that does not date and the flowers are the part you swap.
How many panels do I need for a full wall? +
Two 2.4m panels give you a 4.8m wall, which covers a bridal table or a ceremony backdrop. Panels come 1.2m or 2.4m wide and 2.4m high, so plan in those increments rather than hoping to trim. Butt the panels tight and put the join where a person, a cake table or a plinth will stand in front of it. A vertical seam is invisible behind a subject and obvious in open frame.
Floral or a printed fabric wall, how do I choose? +
Floral if the wall is the decoration, printed if it has to carry words or a logo. Flowers give real depth and a shadow line that a flat print cannot fake, which is why they photograph well close up. Our Tension Fabric Backdrop Walls collection does the opposite job: dead flat, any artwork, and it folds into a bag. Text on a floral panel means a sign or letters mounted in front, not printed on.
How do I light it so it photographs well? +
Light it from the side, not the front. A flower wall is all texture, and flat frontal light or an on-camera flash kills the shadows that make it look three-dimensional, leaving a flat green mass. Two lights at 45 degrees, or one window to one side, is enough. Shoot subjects at least a metre off the wall so the flowers fall slightly soft and the faces stay sharp.
Can I use one outside? +
For a few hours in shade, yes. Two things go wrong outdoors. Australian sun fades the colour in the lighter petals faster than anything else you will do to the panel, so keep it out of direct afternoon light if you plan to reuse it. And a 2.4m panel on a stand is a sail: weight both feet of the frame, guy it off if you can, and expect wind rather than rain to be what wrecks the day.
How do I move and store it without crushing the flowers? +
Roll it, never fold it. The panel arrives in a soft nylon bag and should go back the same way, flowers facing out on the roll so the petals splay rather than compress. A 2.4m rolled panel sits along the back seat of a sedan or upright in a wagon. Store it standing in a corner rather than under anything, and give crushed heads a minute with your fingers or a hairdryer on cool before the next job.
Will it stand up to weekly hire? +
Yes, with two habits. Dust it with a soft brush or a vacuum on low every few jobs, because artificial petals hold dust and it shows as grey in flash photography long before anyone notices it in the room. Second, check the fixing points along the top edge each time, since that is where the load sits when the panel hangs. Panels are reusable indoors indefinitely; it is repeated sun exposure that ends them.
How do I order, and can I get a custom size? +
Pick a style number and a size, then choose backdrop only or backdrop with frame. Custom widths and mixed layouts are made to order, so send the dimensions of your space and any reference images and we will lay it out for you at no charge, including a free 2D mockup before production. Reach the team on support@backdropsource.com.au or +61 7 3053 8668. Delivery is free Australia-wide and frames carry a 1-year warranty.
