Retail Store Display Accessories

The fixtures that hold stock rather than the walls behind them: peg board panels, apparel frames, waterfall units with TV mounts, spiral towers, fabric counters and clip-on brochure stands. Most are aluminium framed with printed fabric skins, built for months rather than days.

Good communication. Very helpful. The product we ordered is as we anticipated. A canvas bag was included, along with Velcro tape for installation. Overall, it was an excellent experience. We are very happy with the result and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from Trade Show Shelving & Product Displays? +
The hardware overlaps almost completely; the use does not. Trade Show Shelving & Product Displays is the same shelving treated as stand kit, built at the start of the week, pulled down at the end of it and freighted to the next show. This range is the shop-floor version, and it adds fixtures that never travel: peg board panels, apparel frames with hanger bars, waterfall units and curved top headers. Buy from here if the fit-out stays put.
How much stock will an acrylic shelf actually hold? +
Treat 5kg to 8kg per acrylic shelf as the working limit and keep the load spread rather than stacked at the front edge. Acrylic creeps, so a shelf that looks fine on day one shows a permanent bow after a few months under a heavy centre load. For tinned goods, hardware or anything dense, use the aluminium showcase units instead and keep acrylic for light retail such as cosmetics, packaging samples and small electronics.
Can I use these in a leased shop without drilling the walls? +
Yes. Every unit here is freestanding on its own base or feet, so nothing has to be fixed to the landlord's structure, which is the usual reason retailers choose them over shopfitted joinery. The trade-off is footprint: a freestanding tower or waterfall unit eats 400mm to 600mm of floor depth that a wall-hung system would not. If your lease allows a French cleat, Wall-Mounted SEG Fabric Frames are the tidier answer for flat graphics.
What size screen will the TV mounts take? +
They are built for commercial panels up to about 30kg with a bracket face up to 600 x 400mm, which covers most screens around 1.2m to 1.4m wide. Check the VESA hole pattern on the back of your screen first, because a larger pattern needs an adaptor plate. Run power and HDMI down the inside of the upright and cable-tie them to the frame, since a lead hanging down the front is the first thing a customer sees.
Can I change the printed panels for a seasonal campaign? +
Yes, and it is the main reason to buy fabric fixtures rather than joinery. The printed skins come off the aluminium frame and a new set slides on, so the same unit runs a Christmas look and then a stocktake look without new hardware. Order both sets in one production run if you can, because fabric printed months apart can shift slightly on large flat colours. Roll old sets in a tube rather than folding them.
Will a peg board panel take normal retail hooks? +
It takes standard 6mm peg hooks on the usual 25mm grid, so hooks you already own will fit. Keep a single hook under about 3kg and spread heavier lines across several. The panel is printed, so plan the hook layout before the artwork is drawn, because holes punched through a logo look like a mistake and the panel cannot be re-drilled later without cracking the printed face.
How much floor space should I allow per unit? +
Allow 600mm of clear floor in front of any shelving or waterfall unit so a customer can stand and reach without blocking the aisle, on top of the unit's own depth. A spiral tower needs a full circle around it, about 1.2m of working diameter, because its whole point is being shopped from every side. In a narrow shop that usually means fewer, taller units rather than a line of low ones.
How do I work out what I need and order it? +
Send a floor plan, or even a phone photo of the space with rough dimensions, to support@backdropsource.com.au, or ring +61 7 3053 8668 and we will tell you which units fit and how many. Artwork help costs nothing, and a free 2D mockup goes back to you before production so you can see the fixture wearing your branding. Delivery is free Australia-wide and frames and hardware are covered for a year.
