Why does a silicone edge graphic cost more than a hook-and-loop or pillowcase wall? +

Because the panel is a precision part. A silicone strip is sewn into the hem of the printed fabric and that strip push-fits into a channel machined around the front of the extrusion, so the finished face sits flush with the frame and nothing mechanical shows. The panel has to be cut a few millimetres undersize for a specific profile, which means more sewing, tighter tolerance and no reuse on another brand of frame. Hook-and-loop is cheaper and looks it.

Do these widths line up with Australian shell scheme stands? +

They do. A 3m frame matches the standard 3m shell scheme bay, the 2.4m x 2.5m sits inside it with a gap for storage, and the 6m covers a double bay in one run. Frame height stays under the 2.5m Octanorm wall so nothing pokes above the scheme. Confirm the clear internal width from the exhibitor manual before committing to a full 3m, since the quoted module size usually includes the upright.

How is this different from the Wall-Mounted SEG Fabric Frames collection? +

This collection is the freestanding range and the bare profile, sized to stand on the floor and travel between shows. Wall-Mounted SEG Fabric Frames covers the frames that fix to a solid wall, from a 20mm shallow face for a flush corporate reveal up to 120mm. If the graphic needs a base and moves every few weeks, buy here. If it is going onto a fixed wall in a showroom or reception, start there instead.

Which profile depth should I order? +

60mm for anything up to about 2.4m wide, 80mm above that, 120mm if you want the frame to read as a solid block from the side. Depth buys rigidity, and a wide unlit frame in shallow profile can bow visibly across the top rail once the fabric is tensioned. The cost is weight and case size. A 6m wall in 120mm profile is a two-person lift per section rather than a one-person carry.

What do I do if the fabric looks wavy or the bead keeps lifting out? +

Waviness at the edge almost always means uneven insertion, not a bad panel. Take the whole side out, then reinsert from the centre of each rail towards the corners so tension spreads evenly. Corners go in last. If a section still ripples, check that no frame joint has been assembled a few millimetres short, because a 5mm error over a 3m span shows as a soft wave right across the middle.

Can I add lighting later, or should I buy a backlit frame from the start? +

You can clamp lights to the top rail of an unlit frame and it lifts the face noticeably, but it lights from the front and leaves the bottom third dimmer. You cannot convert an unlit frame to backlit, because the LED channel is machined into the deeper backlit profile. Decide before you order. If you do add clamp lights, the lead and fitting still need a current AS/NZS 3760 tag.

How should I set up artwork so nothing important disappears into the channel? +

Keep logos and text at least 50mm inside the visible panel edge and supply the file to the finished size we quote, with bleed added on our template rather than your own. The bead takes up the outer few millimetres of fabric and the frame face hides a little more, so a design that runs a headline hard to the edge loses the top of the letters. Send the file and we will check it before print.

Do the frames come apart for transport, and how do I order? +

They break down into extrusion sections with the fabric folded separately, so a 3m wall travels in one long case rather than as a rigid panel.
