Will a 3m wall actually fit inside a 3m shell scheme stand? +

It will if you order the graphic to about 2.9m rather than a true 3m. Octanorm bays are quoted on 3m centres, and the clear opening between the uprights typically measures 2.9m to 2.95m, so a full 3m frame will foul the posts. The exhibitor manual usually states the internal dimension; if it only gives centres, work to 2.9m and you will have 25mm to 50mm of tolerance at each end.

Is a fabric wall cheaper than paying the organiser for shell scheme panel graphics? +

Over two shows, yes. Panel graphics are cut to that venue's exact panel sizes, get bagged at pack-down and are almost never reusable, so you pay again at the next event. A freestanding 3m frame travels with you and only the printed cover ever needs replacing. The trade-off is coverage: panel graphics wrap the side walls as well, so if you need all three walls dressed, look at Shell Scheme Panels & Graphics instead.

Does the curve earn its keep at 3m? +

Yes, which is not true at narrower widths. A 3m curved frame such as the Curved Tension Fabric Portable Media Wall is measured along its arc, so it occupies roughly 2.7m of your frontage but gains 700mm to 900mm of concealed floor behind it, which is enough for a stacked pallet of stock. You give up flat graphic area, so a curve is the wrong choice for step-and-repeat or for artwork built around one large squared-off logo lockup.

How high should the display be? +

2.5m or just under. Shell scheme walls are 2.5m high, and the Portable 2.5m High Fabric Exhibit Display is built to sit level with that top rail so the stand reads as one finished box. Going above the walls needs written organiser approval, a dressed rear face, and often a setback from the neighbouring stand. Under 2.5m you are inside the rules everywhere and no one asks you anything at build-up.

If I can only afford one item, what should it be? +

The back wall, every time. It is the only thing visible from more than five metres away, and a bare white Octanorm panel behind a good counter still reads as an empty stand. Spend on the wall, then add two clamp lights before you add anything else, because a 3m unlit graphic in a hall lit for circulation loses most of its contrast. A counter is third, and a screen is a distant fourth.

What do I use on a corner or open-sided 3m stand? +

Something that turns a corner, because a flat back wall does half the work when two sides are open. The 180° Curved Fabric Exhibition Booth Wall and the Custom 180° Curved Enclosure Wall wrap the space so there is a graphic facing whichever aisle a visitor arrives from, and the Portable S-Shaped Fabric Exhibit Display does the same in a shallower footprint. Keep the open corner genuinely open; blocking it removes the reason you paid for the position.

When do I move up to 6m, and is 2.4m ever the smarter buy? +

Move up when you have booked two bays or an open 6m frontage, and use 6m Trade Show Displays & Backdrops, which is built around a continuous run rather than a single panel. Drop to 2.4m Trade Show Displays & Backdrops when floor storage matters more than graphic area, because a narrower wall inside a 3m bay leaves you a working corner. The cost of dropping down is a stand that reads slightly less full from the aisle.

How do I get artwork onto one of these and what happens after I order? +

Send us the frame you have chosen and whatever artwork exists, even if it is only a logo and a colour reference.
