What does 54 square metres actually let me add? +

Three things a smaller stand cannot fit: an enclosed meeting room of roughly 3m by 3m, a hospitality point with seating, and a demonstration area people can stand around without blocking an aisle. Plan it as zones with clear routes between them, because the failure mode at this size is not crowding, it is a stand that reads as empty. Allow about 1.5m of walkway between any two structures.

What crew and how long? +

Four to six people over one and a half to two days, and that assumes drawings on site and crates opened in build order. The frame is the fast part. Flooring, cable runs, graphics, the meeting room and dressing consume the second day. Book two bump-in days if the organiser offers them, and nominate one person to own the build sequence, because at this size confusion costs more time than lifting does.

How does the rigging work on a stand this size? +

A hanging sign centred over the stand, installed by the venue's approved rigger from points you booked and paid for during the exhibitor manual window. Nobody else may go up, including your own crew. Weight limits and drop height are set by the venue, and the lower edge is normally kept well above the tallest structure below it. Can I build an enclosed meeting room? +

Enclosed spaces on large stands attract conditions around exits, detection and ceiling coverage, and those vary by venue, so submit your plan with the stand paperwork rather than assuming. A 3m by 3m room with a door seats four comfortably. Back it onto a perimeter wall so it does not block sightlines through the middle.

Every lead, board and fitting must be test-and-tagged to AS/NZS 3760, and at venues such as ICC Sydney an inspector will look. Channel anything crossing a visitor route.
