How much weight does each leg need? +

As much as your permit says, and that figure comes from the council or the market organiser rather than from us. Most market rules and event permits state a minimum ballast per leg, and the site manager checks it before you are allowed to trade, so read the conditions you were issued and buy to them. Weight every leg, not just the two on the windward side, and fit the ballast as the marquee goes up rather than after.

Sand bags or weight plates? +

Plates if the marquee lives in a van, sand bags if it lives in a shed. A Weight - Plate stacks flat, holds an exact known mass and does not leak, which matters when an organiser asks what you have on each leg. Sand Bags travel empty and fill on site, so you carry almost nothing there, at the cost of never being quite sure what the weight actually is.

When can I use the rope and ground spike kit instead? +

Grass, dirt and garden beds only. A spike driven into soil and guyed out at an angle holds better than any weight of the same cost, which is why showground and sports field sites still use them. It will not go into bitumen, pavers or concrete, and a good share of the sites you trade on are exactly that. Carry both, because you rarely know the surface until you arrive.

What is the half wall support pole for? +

It holds the top edge of a half wall level, so the wall works as a counter front instead of sagging into the shopper's knees. Half walls are the panel most market stalls print, because they show your name to the aisle while leaving the top open for service. Without the pole the printed edge scallops between the legs and the branding looks second-hand. Buy one per half wall you are running.

Will these fit the marquee I already own, and how do I order? +

They are sized for the frames in our Custom Printed Marquees range, and the ballast items suit most 3m pop-up frames regardless of brand.
