What width fits a 3m shell scheme back wall? +

The 2.5m W x 2.5m H frame. A 3m frame exists and fills the opening corner to corner, but a lit frame is deeper than a plain fabric wall and the feet need room, so 2.5m centred leaves a working gap on one side for cartons. Check the exhibitor manual for the internal opening rather than the Octanorm centres, because the two figures differ by roughly 40mm per upright.

Do I need different artwork for a backlit frame? +

Yes, and this is where most first orders go wrong. A file prepared for a front-lit wall looks washed out when the light comes from behind, and every seam, shadow and soft gradient in the design becomes visible. Backlit panels are printed on a heavier fabric with a denser ink lay-down, so the file needs more contrast and stronger colour density than the same image would need unlit.

80mm or 120mm profile, which one? +

120mm for anything over 2m wide, 80mm below that. The extra depth puts more distance between the LED strips and the fabric, which spreads the light and stops the bright band you get when a shallow frame is pushed too large. The trade-off is bulk: a 120mm frame is visibly thicker and adds freight volume. Double-sided builds want the 120mm regardless of width.

What are the electrical rules at Australian venues? +

Every lead, plug pack and light fitting you bring must be test-and-tagged to AS/NZS 3760, and the tag has to be current rather than just present. Venue and organiser staff walk the hall and check, and untagged gear gets unplugged or removed. That includes the transformer supplied with the light box, so keep it with the frame and have it retested along with the rest of your stand kit.

How is this different from the Backlit SEG Trade Show Booth Kits? +

These are single-skin frames built to one finished size; the Backlit SEG Trade Show Booth Kits are modular panel systems that bolt into runs. A 6m frame here arrives as one large graphic with one continuous lit face, which looks cleaner but costs more to reprint and is harder to reuse on a smaller stand. Choose a booth kit if you exhibit at different stand sizes through the year and want to reconfigure the same panels.

Straight or curved? +

Straight, unless the frame sits where people approach from two sides. The Curved SEG Fabric LED Light Box Display holds its own shape without feet splaying into the aisle and reads well on a corner or peninsula stand. It costs more per square metre of graphic, and a curve pulls the fabric unevenly if the print is not laid out for it, so the mockup stage matters more here.

Single or double-sided? +

Double-sided only earns its keep where both faces get seen: an island stand, a foyer, or a frame used as a room divider. It roughly doubles the graphic cost and needs a blockout layer between the two prints so one image does not ghost through the other. On a back wall against a shell scheme panel, pay for single-sided and put the money into a wider frame.
